Do you want to work on the Gold Coast in an established practice with a large patient base? Do you want to focus on patient care and continuity? This busy practice has a significant number of patients looking for a new regular GP to join their team.
The opportunity is best suited to a GP who wants to settle into a practice long term and take the time to understand their patients and build lasting relationships. This practice does not focus on high patient turn over; all consultations are at least 15 minutes. Patients value having a GP who builds relationships and gets to know them over time.
Key Information
Start Date: As soon as possible
Minimum guarantee: $180 per hour or 70% of billings whichever is greater.
Appointment Structure: 15 minutes

A Patient Base That Values Patient Continuity and Care
With a patient demographic that is predominantly older, they want to go to see a GP that takes the time to discuss their concerns, receive appropriate examinations and develop an ongoing relationship with their GP.
You’ll have an existing patient base to step into rather than relying entirely on new patient growth. There is an overflow of patients that the current GPs cannot handle.
Support And Facilities
You’ll work in a state-of-the-art clinic within a shopping centre, with internal access to the pharmacy next door and on-site allied health services. There are two nurses onsite each day, alongside established administrative support and a Practice Manager.
The billing model is mixed. Consultations, health assessments and care plans are bulk billed, while procedures such as iron infusions, laceration repairs, biopsies and skin excisions attract a patient gap in addition to the Medicare rebate.
What You Need
Specialist Registration with AHPRA
Fellowship with RACGP / ACRRM
A GP looking for a long-term position and prepared to build an ongoing patient base.
Comfortable with 15-minute consultations and a relationship-focused approach to general practice.
A genuine interest in continuity of care and getting to know your patients.
