About the Role
We are seeking a commercially driven Product Applications Manager to drive the growth and market success of a portfolio of advanced life science technologies across Australia and New Zealand.
In this role, you will drive revenue growth, expand market presence, building strategic supplier and customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Working closely with sales teams and key stakeholders, you will develop and execute portfolio strategies, support product launches and drive commercial performance across the region.
Leveraging your understanding of customer workflows and market trends, you will provide technical and application support, deliver customer training and demonstrations, and help ensure the successful adoption of our solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a scientific background and a passion for bringing innovative technologies to market. Experience in imaging, microscopy, image analysis, extracellular vesicles & nanoparticles and cell-based research applications is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive portfolio growth, profitability, and achievement of sales targets
- Develop and execute product, marketing, and business plans
- Manage forecasting, pricing, inventory, and product lifecycle activities
- Lead product launches, market development initiatives, and supplier onboarding
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Provide advanced technical support, demonstrations, evaluations, and application expertise
- Deliver training and technical enablement programs to customers and sales teams
- Support tenders, quotations, and strategic sales opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities
- Act as the technical subject matter expert and trusted advisor for your portfolio
About You
- Degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Science, or related discipline (MSc/PhD preferred)
- Proven experience in Product Management, Applications Support, Scientific Sales, or a related commercial scientific role
- Strong commercial acumen, including forecasting, pricing, and margin management
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of life science research environments and laboratory workflows
- Experience delivering technical training, demonstrations, and customer presentations
- Highly desirable experience with imaging, microscopy, image analysis, high-content screening, or related technologies
- Experience with laboratory automation, genomics, proteomics, or translational research is advantageous
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work effectively across multicultural global teams
