Direct Hire is a well-known family-owned business that provides equipment hire solutions to the building and constructions industry, with multiple branches strategically located to support the QLD South-East region over the past 36 years.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller to assist and support the branch operations at our Tingalpa location by providing front counter customer service to the general public as well as our trade customers. The role will incorporate greeting the customers as the 'face' of Direct Hire, assisting in the choice of the right tool for the job, the creation of the hire contracts and then off hiring the returns whilst accurately recording the movements of the hire equipment and resources to meet customer's needs.
When necessary, the role requires delivering and collecting small hire plant and equipment, as well as providing our customers with outstanding service, safely loading and unloading, and on-site services when needed. You will form part of a growing team who will support you with ongoing training with an opportunity for career development, whilst enjoying a fun and secure place to work.
About You
You will be in charge of representing and showcasing Direct Hire's excellent service, with expert advice whilst at the branch and on-site whilst maintaining high standards of equipment quality, customer service, positive attitude and safety approach to your everyday tasks.
To be successful for this position, the following are preferable:
- Experience in Hire Controller or similar customer-service role within the equipment hire or construction industry.
- Competent in using computer software such as inventory systems, MS Office and email.
- Construction White Card (Essential)
- Current C-Class manual Drivers License (Essential)
- Forklift License (Essential)
- MR Truck License (Desirable but not essential)
- Team worker and willing to learn on the job
- Punctual with professional and safety conscious
