About the role
The Production Team Leader is responsible overseeing production staff to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality food production, focusing on meeting daily targets, adhering to food safety standards (HACCP), and fostering a positive team culture.
Key responsibilities include supervising staff, training, monitoring equipment, troubleshooting operational issues and adherence to all compliance requirements.
About you
- Certificate II in Food Processing or willingness to complete in house.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment (2-3 years).
- Proven effective leadership experience demonstrating a commitment to achieving/maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and production equipment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and make quick, informed decisions.
- Physical capacity to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding and commitment to safety protocols and quality control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to conduct challenging conversations and report to management as required.
