An established and reputable Brisbane law firm legal practice is looking for an Accounts Officer to join its team full-time. Your numbers game
- Working alongside and closely with the Operations & Finance Manager, you'll help keep the firm's financial operations running smoothly, with responsibilities spanning:
- Monthly client billing cycle, invoicing and WIP management
- Accounts payable, receivable and debtor follow-up
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Receipts, payments and trust accounting support
- Month-end reporting and Excel-based financial analysis
- Ad hoc financial analysis and advice to support business decisions
- Occasionally stepping in to assist with payroll
- Resolving discrepancies and finding smarter ways to work
What makes you the right fit?
- At least two (2) years of experience across billing and general accounts, within the legal industry (experience from other professional services environments will be considered)
- Strong Excel skills and confidence navigating financial systems
- An eagle eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
- The initiative to take ownership, meet deadlines and follow things through
- A friendly, approachable personality and the confidence to chase answers when needed
