We are looking for a reliable, motivated General Hand / Truck Driver to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a long-term position offering genuine stability and the opportunity to learn valuable trade skills directly from our qualified cabinet makers and joiners.
The Role
This is a diverse, hands-on role where you will split your time between workshop support, loading materials, and making deliveries to various job sites across Sydney.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Driving our manual delivery truck to safely transport joinery, tools, and materials to Sydney-based job sites.
Loading and unloading trucks carefully to ensure finished cabinetry and joinery components are not damaged.
Assisting our tradespeople and installers on-site and in the workshop with assembly and installation.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
Learning new skills on the job, including using workshop machinery, sanding, and preparing materials under trade supervision.
What We Are Looking For
A valid, current Australian Driver’s Licence with a clean record and confident experience driving a manual truck.
High physical fitness, as this role requires heavy lifting, loading, and manual handling of custom joinery.
A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a high level of reliability for a long-term career move.
A proactive attitude with a genuine willingness to listen, learn new skills, and follow instructions closely.
Excellent communication skills and a professional manner when representing Dewood Interiors on job sites.
Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, construction, or timber-related environment is highly regarded but not essential.
