Sydney Full-Time On-site
D

Dewhurst NSW designs, manufactures and installs lift interiors, lift fixtures, door frames, and architectural metalwork for commercial construction projects across New South Wales and Canberra. We are part of the international Dewhurst Group, and we combine skilled in-house fabrication with on-site installation to deliver quality products to builders and clients.

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will own the delivery of your allocated customer projects from works order through to practical completion, handover and defects close-out. You will be the single point of contact between the client, the builder and our production and site teams. Your job is to keep every project safe, on programme, to specification and at or above the quoted margin. You will have up to 19 production and site installation staff allocated to your projects.

Key responsibilities

Taking formal handover of won orders from Sales and confirming the scope, specification, programme, contract terms and margin

Building and maintaining project programmes, sequenced against both the builder's programme and the workshop's capacity

Managing the weekly works schedule, carrying out site measures, and obtaining client approval of drawings, submissions and samples

Owning the project cost report for labour, materials, freight and subcontract spend, and reporting variance monthly

Identifying, pricing and obtaining written approval for variations before the work is carried out

Triggering progress claims and milestone invoicing on time, and working within contract terms

Maintaining live risk registers and making sure inductions, SWMS, permits and site hazard information are in place before work starts

Managing quality hold points, snagging and defects, and issuing complete handover packs

Reporting to the MD on programme, cost, margin, risk and forecast completion

Running close-out reviews and feeding lessons learned back into the business
