Senior Estimator – Insurance Building
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + Super
Full-Time | Office-Based
The Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a well-established insurance builder and lead a team of junior estimators in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong insurance building experience, excellent estimating capability and a background using Prime Ecosystem. The team is responsible for preparing and managing up to 200 submissions per week, so the ability to maintain quality, consistency and turnaround times is essential.
The Role
- Lead, support and mentor a team of junior estimators.
- Oversee the preparation, review and submission of insurance repair estimates.
- Manage workflow and priorities across a high-volume estimating team.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, commercially sound and submitted within required timeframes.
- Review scopes, pricing and documentation to ensure compliance with insurer and client requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, quality and team performance.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, insurers, assessors and other relevant parties.
- Provide guidance and technical support to the team on complex or escalated estimates.
About You
- Previous experience working for an insurance builder is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Prime Ecosystem is essential.
- Proven experience in insurance repair estimating and submission processes.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring or supporting junior estimators.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment, with the team managing up to 200 submissions per week.
- Strong understanding of insurance scopes, pricing, estimating accuracy and insurer requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- A proactive leader who can balance team support with hands‑on estimating and quality control.
