Depth Logistics is seeking an experienced international freight operations officer to join our corporate HQ in Coolangatta on the Gold Coast. We work extensively in government supply chains.
Your duties will include
- Providing exceptional customer service to new and existing clients
- Coordinating door-to-door shipping and transport of airfreight, containers, roll-on/roll-off and breakbulk cargo
- Liaising with overseas agents and suppliers
- Booking wharf delivery slots for our truck fleet
- Job registrations
- Creating import and export documentation, including bills of lading, ERAs, EDNs, PRAs and forwarding instructions
- Invoicing
- Shipment tracking
About you
- At least three years' experience in a similar role at an international freight forwarder, with a solid background in import and export freight operations and Australian customs and biosecurity requirements
- Experience handling roll-on/roll-off and breakbulk cargo, particularly heavy machinery and project cargo, is a distinct advantage
- Ambitious and goal-oriented, with a friendly and professional manner
- Outstanding communication skills
- The ability to work independently, with solid commercial understanding
- A keen eye for detail and excellent relationship-building skills
- Formal freight forwarding qualifications are a distinct advantage
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
