Why This Role Matters

Great governance supports confident, accountable decision-making. As Senior Board Support Officer you'll play an important role in keeping Super SA’s boards and committees operating effectively by ensuring information is accurate, meetings are well coordinated and actions are followed through. Your work will help maintain strong governance standards and support decisions that contribute to Super SA’s ongoing service to its members.

About The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to work at the centre of board and committee operations within Super SA’s Policy, Risk and Governance Directorate. Working with board members, senior executives and internal stakeholders, you’ll provide high-quality governance and administrative support while managing sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

You will:

  • Coordinate board and committee meetings, helping ensure everything is organised and ready when it matters.
  • Prepare and manage agendas, board papers, minutes and action registers with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain board and committee documentation through Diligent and support accurate governance recordkeeping.
  • Build professional relationships with board members, executives and colleagues to support meeting preparation and follow‑up.
  • Track actions and decisions and support the timely delivery of reporting, including Super SA’s annual reports.
  • Look for practical ways to improve board services, processes, templates and systems.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Bring a sound understanding of governance frameworks and board or committee processes.
  • Have experience preparing agendas, board papers and accurate minutes, and keeping actions on track.
  • Build trusted, professional relationships with board members, executives and internal stakeholders.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgement, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Bring exceptional attention to detail, strong written communication skills and pride in producing accurate work.
  • Can confidently balance competing priorities and tight deadlines, working independently while contributing positively to the team.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities and lived experiences. If you have accessibility needs or would like us to make any adjustments at any stage of the process - such as receiving interview questions in advance or accessing materials in alternative formats - please let us know. We’re happy to work with you to put the right supports in place.
