We manage tenancy services, support housing provision in remote Aboriginal communities, and oversee government employee accommodation. Through office accommodation solutions, State Fleet management, procurement, planning and asset policy, we empower other government agencies to deliver their best. We actively encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, youth, people of diverse sexualities and genders, and culturally and linguistically diverse people. We are committed to ensuring our hiring processes are inclusive.

When you join us, you can enjoy a variety of benefits, including:

  • Flexible work options, including working from home up to 2 days per week.
  • Professional development, training, and on-the-job learning to advance your career.
  • Generous leave entitlements, which include 4 weeks annual leave, 3 public service holidays each year, accrued long service leave every 7 years and an option to purchase additional leave each year.
  • Access to cultural leave for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Corporate discounts with selected health insurance providers and access to wellness programs.

As part of the region’s leadership team, the Regional Maintenance Coordinator will manage and oversee the delivery of regional routine and breakdown repair maintenance operations to ensure Government’s non-residential building assets are efficiently and effectively maintained. This includes the management and administration of routine maintenance term contracts, contractor performance management, preparing reports and making recommendations to our client agencies, ensuring data integrity in our project and contract management systems and supplier invoice management. Furthermore, the Regional Maintenance Coordinator will use their communication skills to ensure quality standards are met, providing feedback to contractors onsite as well as via phone or email. The role will be responsible for ensuring delivery issues are addressed appropriately, and all internal and external stakeholders are kept informed. This position will seek to improve professionalism, look for improvement opportunities and make recommendations around asset management to drive value for money.

You are a collaborative and adaptable professional who thrives in a small team environment and values building strong working relationships. With excellent communication skills, you can provide clear, concise advice and effectively liaise with contractors, client agencies and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes. You demonstrate sound judgement, emotional intelligence and a solutions-focused approach when dealing with complex or sensitive situations. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, you are proactive, innovative and committed to delivering high-quality customer service and practical outcomes for stakeholders. This position operates in the context of Leading Others. This means that you will motivate and enable others to deliver high quality work. You will balance time between doing the work and coaching, guiding and developing others. This requires a significant shift in thinking from ‘doing’ to supporting others to ‘do good work’; and consideration of present and future needs when allocating time to the team and projects you lead. You will articulate how work is to be done, providing clear direction and feedback.
