At DCCEEW, technology underpins how we protect the environment, manage water resources and drive the transition to a net-zero future. We are seeking a Test Analyst to join the Microsoft Practice team. You will help to assure the quality, reliability, security and accessibility of digital solutions across Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps code apps and related Microsoft cloud services. If you enjoy understanding complex requirements, identifying risks and defects, and working with delivery teams to improve digital services, this role puts your testing expertise where it can make a real difference.
About the role
As a Test Analyst, you will plan, design, coordinate and execute testing for digital solutions across the Microsoft product stack, working with stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams to confirm requirements, manage quality risks and support successful releases.
- Plan, prepare, coordinate and execute functional, integration, regression, system and release testing for projects and enhancements across Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps code apps and related Microsoft cloud services.
- Analyse business and technical requirements, identify test conditions and risks, and develop traceable manual and automated test cases in collaboration with Product Owners, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Test Leads, developers and other delivery partners.
- Record, triage and retest defects, and report clearly on test progress, quality risks and release readiness.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing with nominated participants.
- Present at showcases and forums to share expertise and provide updates.
About you
You don’t need to tick every box, but you will likely bring practical experience testing digital applications across Microsoft Power Platform and related Microsoft technologies. You will be comfortable interpreting requirements, designing and executing test scenarios, managing defects and producing clear test evidence and reporting. Experience testing low-code and pro-code solutions, integrations, APIs, data flows and role-based security will be valuable. You will understand accessibility, security, privacy and application lifecycle considerations, and work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners. Relevant tertiary qualifications or testing certifications are welcome, but strong hands-on testing experience is just as important.
Cyber security is everyone’s responsibility at DCCEEW. In this role, you will play an active part in protecting the Department’s digital resources and supporting a strong security posture.
Nice to have
Relevant tertiary qualifications, recognised testing certification and/or significant practical experience testing digital applications across Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps code apps or comparable Microsoft cloud technologies.
