D&C Nursing Care Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Dandenong, Victoria. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to our elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Providing support with daily living activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
- Facilitating social and recreational activities to enhance the wellbeing of our clients
- Monitoring clients' health and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical professionals
- Maintaining detailed client records and documentation
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols and company policies
What we're looking for
- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in aged care or disability services
- Second language such as Gujarati or other language would be great but not essential
- Previous experience working as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a community or home-based setting which knows predominately with domestic assistance and community transportation ( Highly desirable )
- Working experience in residential care home
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Current First Aid and CPR certification & manual handling
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation ( A must)
Weekend and weekday immediate availability will be highly desirable
