DC Air is a growing Brisbane HVAC business focused on commercial service, maintenance, repairs and plant replacements across SEQ. We're building a strong service team, and we want a licensed electrician who wants to add refrigeration and air conditioning to their skill set.
The offer
$55/hr from day one. You stay on this rate for the whole apprenticeship, not apprentice wages
A Cert III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (UEE32220), paid for and supported by DC Air.
Company vehicle / tools / uniform.
Monday to Friday – Rare OT, we value your time outside of work
What you'll be doing
Commercial HVAC service and maintenance alongside our experienced technicians
Fault-finding on the electrical and controls side
Learning the refrigeration side step by step: refrigerant handling, system diagnosis, repairs and replacements
Replacing, upgrading and retrofitting existing systems
Using Simpro Mobile for job notes, JSAs, asset records and timesheets
What we're after
Current QLD electrical licence (completed trade)
A real interest in HVAC and refrigeration, not just a job change
Good fault-finding skills and a methodical approach
Comfortable on roofs and at heights, and around plant rooms
Current manual driver's licence
Clear, professional communication with clients on site
Commercial or industrial electrical experience is a bonus. Some HVAC exposure is a bonus such as the certificate 2 in split system installation, but not required
Electrical contractors license beneficial but not necessary

We're not a high-volume residential install shop. We look after commercial clients long term, so the work is diagnostic, varied and skilled. Electricians who can also do refrigeration are rare, and we'll invest in making you one.
