Our client, a Cardiovascular Specialist, is actively seeking to appoint a Medical Secretary to become an integral part of their team. This is a small, modern practice based at Greenslopes Private Hospital and this role is a solo position.
Hours of Work
This position is available on a part-time basis. The roster would look something like: Tuesday and Thursday – 9am-5.30pm plus Wednesday and Friday could be 1/2 days or school hours. Parking is paid for onsite.

This is a solo practice and this is the key role for the Surgeon.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Excellent customer service skills with compassion and care for patients
- IT savvy
- Experience with Medical Software (Xestro) or similar
- Able to take ownership of responsibilities
Duties Include But Not Limited To
- Coordinating patient appointments
- Running consulting clinics and facilitating consultation payments
- Handling patient enquiries via phone and email
- Surgical scheduling and theatre preparation and billing
- NB – No medical typing – just editing.
Commencement
Commencement date is flexible and will be mutually agreed with the successful candidate. We are seeking candidates who are looking for a long-term opportunity and the right fit for the team. The current incumbent will be reducing hours in February and we are hoping for a handover to start around this time.
Salary
Above award wages will be offered depending on experience under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award. Range $ 40 per hour plus Super.
