Lead sales growth, operational performance and business improvement for an established personal-lending organisation in Papua New Guinea. Relocation provided from Australia.
Our client is a leading personal-lending provider supporting communities across PNG through its branch network, mobile sales teams and developing online platform.
An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially driven General Manager - Sales + Operations to lead a growing business, improve performance and develop high-performing teams.
Based in Port Moresby, this is a hands-on leadership role overseeing 10 branches, approximately 40-50 sales employees and key operational functions. Regular travel throughout PNG is required.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with senior leadership, you will:
- Drive sales growth, loan conversions, customer retention and profitability.
- Lead the Manager of Operations and National Sales Manager.
- Oversee branch operations, call centre, agents, online lending and collections.
- Deliver business improvement initiatives and strengthen operational efficiency.
- Establish clear performance targets, reporting and accountability.
- Lead the adoption of new technology and improve sales processes.
- Coach and develop branch leaders, building a high-performance culture.
- Travel regularly across PNG to support teams and improve results.
About you
You will be a commercially astute leader with a strong background in sales and operations.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Leadership experience across multi-site sales or operational environments.
- A record of driving revenue growth and improving performance.
- Experience leading managers, developing teams and implementing change.
- Strong commercial acumen and a hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach.
- The resilience and adaptability to succeed in a culturally diverse environment.
- A genuine willingness to relocate to and live in Papua New Guinea.
Experience in banking, lending or financial services is advantageous, but not essential. High-performing sales and operations executives from other industries are encouraged to apply.
