Darrall Gibson & Sons is a locally owned commercial plastering business with over 60 years experience working on large-scale projects across Newcastle and the Hunter Region. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Storeman/Delivery Driver to keep our materials moving and our projects supplied. An immediate start is available for the right person.
This is a key role in our business. You'll be the link between our suppliers, our store and our sites. You'll have real scope to make the role your own.
What You’ll Do:
- Receive, manage, and stock incoming deliveries; maintain accurate stock levels across multiple projects
- Order materials and liaise with suppliers on orders, pickups, and timing
- Deliver materials to site and collect goods from suppliers
- Remove surplus materials from site and complete tip runs as needed
- Maintain site sheds, store cleanliness, and overall warehouse organisation
- Maintain company vehicles and forklift
- Assist site personnel and respond to changing site needs throughout the day
What You’ll Need:
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence with hands-on experience
- Current Forklift licence with hands-on experience
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Background in storeman or construction roles
About You:
- Can-do attitude with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Comfortable when plans change — and they will
- Clear communicator with suppliers, site teams, and the office
- Takes pride in a well-run store
What’s On Offer:
- $52.00/hr base rate plus allowances and 14.5% super
- 36-hour week with 4 hours accrued towards an RDO each week
- Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm
- Occasional optional overtime based on workload
