Daleys Auto, Marine and Upholstery is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Store Person to join the team at Acacia Ridge, QLD 4110. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial part in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution centre, ensuring that stock is managed effectively, organised systematically, and dispatched promptly to meet our customers' needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Serving walk-in customers, answering phone calls, taking orders over the phone, and recommending the correct products based on each customer’s needs.
- Receiving, checking and processing incoming stock and inventory shipments.
- Accurately labelling, storing and organising products in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintaining inventory records and ensuring stock levels are recorded correctly in the system.
- Picking and packing orders according to specifications and dispatch requirements.
- Preparing shipments for distribution and ensuring correct labelling and documentation.
- Operating warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks where trained.
- Conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Supporting the warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Following established procedures and policies to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar logistics environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate stock management and order fulfillment.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry and move items regularly throughout the shift.
- Reliability and commitment to maintaining attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (preferred but not essential).
- Forklift certification or willingness to undertake training (advantageous).
- Health and safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Highly Regarded:
- Experience working with automotive and marine upholstery products or fabrics.
- Familiarity with handling fabric rolls or similar materials.
- Previous picking, packing, invoicing, or customer-service experience.
- Knowledge of industrial or wholesale products.
