We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Truck & Trailer Driver to join our team.
The role
As a Truck & Trailer Driver you will
- Drive HC tippers out of our Moolap location, several runs a day to our customers, suppliers and our stores, not several days a run.
- If ticketed, sometimes load your truck yourself.
- Keep our stores stocked with bulk product from our own production facilities and our suppliers.
- Deliver to our larger trade, commercial and wholesale customers.
- Service customers from other garden supplies stores to million-dollar landscapers to community sports facilities.
- Work as part of a team of about 25 Tandem and Truck & Trailer Drivers, driving out of our Moolap, Ringwood and Carrum Downs locations.
- Hours of the role
Our Transport team generally work Monday to Friday. Hours of work for this role include early morning starts and evening finishes.
Skills & experience
In applicants we look for
- Current HC license with a safe driving record and at least 2-year previous HC tipper truck driving experience
- Road ranger licence and experience are a must
- A safety-first attitude
- An ability to form positive customer and supplier relationships and manage conflict calmly
- A willingness to help out at the stores if it's needed
- Competencies and experience operating a forklift and/or front-end loader advantageous
