Chatswood Private Hospital (CPH) is a state-of-the-art facility which sets the new benchmark as a centre of excellence for specialist surgical procedures of Ophthalmic, ENT, Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial. Our custom-built facility hosts precision instrumentation, cutting edge technology and is complimented by a highly experienced expert team of well-trained clinical and administrative staff who share the vision of a surgical centre of excellence.
Chatswood Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide overnight care and clinical oversight within our licensed 23-hour hospital.
This role is typically a 12-hour overnight shift and involves caring for post-operative patients throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing safe, high-quality overnight nursing care.
- Monitoring and assessing patients and responding to any clinical concerns.
- Administering prescribed medications, including pain relief when required.
- Assisting patients with meals, mobility, and toileting.
- Performing morning eye care, including removal of eye dressings and eye toilet as directed.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and infection prevention requirements.
- Acting as the nurse in charge of the hospital overnight and liaising with medical practitioners as required.
The successful applicant will have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated clinical assessment skills
- The ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
