An established, family-owned SAbuilder is looking for an experienced Residential Draftsperson to join its close-knit drafting team.
With a long-standing reputation for building quality homes, from well-considered volume designs through to individually designed custom homes, this is a great opportunity to join a business that genuinely values good design, quality and the people behind it.
You'll be joining a supportive team where you can get involved in a varied range of projects, share your experience and continue to develop your career.
The Role
- Join a team of drafters, working closely with a Team Leader and reporting to the Drafting Manager.
- Use CAD to produce drawings across a mix of volume and custom-designed homes.
- Work predominantly on volume residential projects (averaging around 320m2), with the opportunity to take on custom homes drawn from scratch.
- Share your knowledge and experience, with the opportunity to mentor and support more junior team members.
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure designs are practical, considered and ready for construction.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' residential drafting experience, ideally within a volume building environment.
- Strong proficiency in CAD drafting software.
- A good eye for detail and pride in producing accurate, quality documentation.
- Someone who enjoys being part of a team, communicates well and is happy to roll up their sleeves.
- An adaptable personality who'll fit comfortably into a young, energetic team.
- Previous mentoring experience or an interest in stepping into a leadership role would be a bonus.
Why You'll Love It
- Join an established South Australian builder with a strong reputation and a genuine focus on quality homes.
- Work across a varied range of residential projects, including both volume and custom designs.
- Be part of a close-knit drafting team where people work collaboratively and support one another.
- Opportunity to develop your career and potentially progress into a leadership position.
- Ongoing investment in your development, including:
- Onsite construction training to give you a better understanding of how your drawings translate into the finished home.
- Regular professional development and learning opportunities.
