The Warehouse Operator / Forklift Driver is a Full-time position, based at Unanderra, NSW. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will join our Gyprock Trade Centre, delivering exceptional customer service and attaining operational excellence within the warehouse.
In this role you will:
- Provide exceptional customer service for all our customers
- Assist in the day-to-day activities within the store
- Manage stock movements and maintenance
- Load trucks with customer orders for distribution and comply with safety requirements
- Unload inbound orders of stock
- Serve customers in the warehouse part of the store, e.g. loading customers' vehicles with a forklift or manually as required
- Ensure documentation, labelling and presentation of product is adhered to
- Conduct warehouse operations including picking orders, inventory counts and general housekeeping
Your standard working hours are Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, totalling a 38-hour week, with any additional hours worked beyond 38 paid at overtime rates.
About you:
- A current forklift licence with sufficient experience is essential
- Ability to lift and move heavy products as required (manual handling involved)
- A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety procedures are essential
- Strong communication skills and listening skills, with the ability to build relationships
