Location and office arrangements: Perth or Geraldton, Western Australia, with preference given to Geraldton. Regular travel to Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, the CSIRO Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory on Wajarri Yamaji Country, will be required.

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, in Human Resource Management, Business Management or a related discipline, together with extensive experience providing operational HR advice across the employment lifecycle, including complex employee relations and organisational issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with, coach and influence senior leaders to identify business needs, develop effective people solutions, and constructively challenge decision-making to achieve organisational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organisational change and managing complex people issues, with the ability to assess risk, balance competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and deliver practical, high-quality outcomes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence diverse stakeholders, negotiate outcomes and deliver a high standard of customer service.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, professionalism and respectful behaviours, with the ability to work effectively across teams while maintaining confidentiality and acting with integrity.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed or remote workforces, including Indigenous employment, capability or workforce initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders within a complex organisational environment.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, matrixed organisation or within a multi-partner collaboration, supporting strategic workforce and organisational objectives.
