CRS Creative Recreation Solutions Pty Limited – Unanderra NSW

Own the numbers. Keep the business running. Get it right. This isn't a role where you process one slice and pass it on. You'll run payroll and day to day accounts for our business, work directly with the Director, and have real say in how our finance function runs.

About us: CRS Playspaces designs, manufactures and installs premium playgrounds for councils, schools, landscape architects and builders across NSW, QLD and VIC. We manufacture our own play structures at our Unanderra factory. Our team of around 30 works across the factory, installation crews and office. We work with our external accountant on BAS and year end, and with a small office team who support you day to day.

What you'll do:

  • Process fortnightly award based payroll for about 30 staff in Xero, including timesheets, leave, allowances, super, STP, PAYG and NSW payroll tax.
  • Manage accounts payable: around 170 supplier and subcontractor bills a month, matched to purchase orders, work orders and jobs.
  • Receipt supplier bills against purchase orders and work orders in our job costing system, and allocate site purchases to the right job.
  • Prepare weekly contractor and month end supplier pay runs, including subcontractor statements and insurance checks.
  • Prepare deposit invoices and month end progress claims for councils, schools and builders, including variations and retentions.
  • Manage council Request to Claim submissions and assessments through to final invoice.
  • Follow up debtors and send statements.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts every month.
  • Prepare month end journals and support our quarterly stocktake.
  • Prepare quarterly BAS information and workpapers for our external accountant to finalise and lodge.
  • Report weekly cash position and monthly cost percentages to the Director.

What you'll bring:

  • At least 3 years hands on payroll and accounts experience.
  • Award based payroll, including interpreting award conditions, allowances and leave.
  • Strong Xero skills across payroll and accounts.
  • Solid working knowledge of super (including Payday Super), STP, PAYG, payroll tax and BAS.
  • Organised, accurate, and comfortable following up project managers and site staff for the information you need.
  • Highly regarded Construction, manufacturing or project based experience.
  • Progress claims or construction invoicing experience.
  • Experience with a job costing or job management system.
  • Payroll or accounts across more than one entity.
  • Confident using AI tools and automation to work faster and more accurately.
  • Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or higher.

Competitive salary plus super, based on experience. Hybrid work: a mix of office and home once you're settled in. Free onsite parking when you're in the office. Report directly to the Director, with real influence over how finance runs. Own the whole function, not one slice of it. Modern systems and genuine backing to improve them. A stable, established Australian manufacturer with work across three states.
