This role is part of our Cover-More Travel Insurance team in Australia. Cover-More Travel Insurance is Australia’s leading travel insurance and assistance provider and has protected Aussie travellers since 1986. We help safeguard travellers from the unexpected, and support them when medical, travel or security emergencies arise.
What you’ll be doing:
- Step into an instrumental role, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, driving the success of our projects to enable us to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Execute full lifecycle software development.
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live.
- Comply with project plans and industry standards.
What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey:
- 8+ years of experience in front-end software development, with a focus on scalable web applications.
- Computer Science or related degree, with a significant programming component.
- Advanced proficiency in React.js and its ecosystem.
- Strong experience with Tailwind CSS and modern styling techniques.
- Familiarity with software design principles and architectural patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, component-based architecture).
- Extensive experience in defining and implementing robust testing strategies that uphold code quality, system reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Collaborates effectively with designers, product owners, and backend engineers to deliver complete end-to-end features.
- Demonstrated ability to own complex technical challenges, make sound architectural decisions, and drive solutions through to successful delivery.
