If we are not currently advertising for a role that fits your skills and experience, please send us your CV and we will email you if and when suitable roles become available. We are particularly keen to hear from those with an interest in roles that focus on medical statistics and real-world data.

Costello Medical is organised into teams based on the types of projects we deliver. Some roles may only be available in specific teams. Other roles, such as our Analyst and Medical Writer positions, can be based in multiple teams. If you are unsure which team to apply for, we will help identify the best fit during the interview process.

Our Evidence Development teams include Statistics, Literature Reviews and Real-World Evidence. They gather and interpret scientific information to help clients understand how effective a treatment is. This includes reviewing published research, analysing real world healthcare data and carrying out statistical analyses.

Our Value & Access teams include Health Economics, Market Access and Health Technology Assessments (HTA). They help to show why a new treatment should be made available to patients. They work on market access strategy, build economic models that estimate the cost and benefit of treatments and support applications to organisations like NICE.

Our Medical Communications teams include Medical Affairs, Publications and Creative. They turn complex scientific information into clear, engaging materials for different audiences. This can include journal articles, conference posters, education materials, digital content, data visualisation and creative design work.

Our Expertise teams include MedTech, Rare Diseases and Health Policy. They specialise in particular areas of the healthcare sector and support projects across the company by bringing deep knowledge of medical devices, rare conditions or healthcare policy.

Our Pro Bono team delivers projects across all the above areas, offering our services for free to charities, non profits and global health organisations.

Our Operations teams include Finance, IT, External Engagement, Facilities, People and more. They ensure the company runs smoothly and that our project teams are supported. This includes the People, Finance, IT and Facilities teams, as well as other functions that enable colleagues to deliver high quality work for our clients.

Analysts & Medical Writers

Costello Medical recruits for two key graduate level roles that sit across multiple teams: Analyst and Medical Writer. While both roles involve working with scientific and clinical information, the focus of the work is different. If you're unsure which role to apply for, the overview below should help you decide. You can only apply to one role at a time, so we encourage you to review the responsibilities in each job advert carefully and consider where your interests and strengths best fit. If you have questions, our Talent Acquisition team is happy to help at recruitment@costellomedical.com.

Analysts are typically based across our Evidence Development, Value & Access or Expertise teams. Typical projects in this role can include:

  • Generating evidence relating to drug effectiveness by analysing clinical trial data
  • Conducting literature reviews to summarise and synthesise published research
  • Using real-world evidence and data to help support healthcare decision-making
  • Building market access strategies for new treatments being launched for the first time
  • Preparing applications to organisations like NICE so new drugs can be considered for NHS funding

Medical Writers are based across our Medical Communications teams. Typical projects in this role can include:

  • Supporting clients at international medical congresses and creating presentations for these
  • Writing and publishing scientific manuscripts and journal articles
  • Producing educational material for patients and practitioners
  • Leading on medical affairs strategies for novel drugs by advising on communication strategies
  • Running advisory boards where healthcare practitioners share insights to guide treatment development
