About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Radiology to provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership across our 11 Our Medical Radiology sites nationally. As the senior leader of the radiology business, you will be the single point of accountability for the division’s performance across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. You will lead clinical governance, workforce strategy, business growth, financial performance, patient experience, regulatory compliance and service innovation, while ensuring safe, high-quality and commercially sustainable diagnostic imaging services. This is a significant leadership opportunity to shape the division’s growth strategy, strengthen relationships with radiologists and referrers, and drive operational excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across the network. This role is based in Sydney with interstate travel to our radiology clinics in Brisbane and Melbourne as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the clinical governance framework across all radiology services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, accreditation requirements, clinical standards and professional guidelines.
  • Lead clinical quality, patient safety, audit and incident management programs to continually improve service quality and patient outcomes.
  • Own the division’s financial performance and develop and execute strategies to improve service utilisation.
  • Lead national workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning and capability development across radiology, sonography, administration and leadership roles.
  • Develop and execute national referrer engagement strategies that strengthen relationships with GPs, specialists and allied health providers within Our Medical centres and the local referrer community.
  • Drive operational excellence through standardised systems, workflows, reporting and performance management frameworks.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies, digital solutions and AI-enabled tools that improve efficiency, quality and patient outcomes.
  • Lead operational and clinical planning for new radiology sites, acquisitions, expansion projects and new strategic initiatives.
  • Drive exceptional patient experience outcomes through service accessibility, timely care, effective communication and continuous service improvement.

About You

You are a senior healthcare leader with the strategic, clinical and commercial capability to lead a complex, multi-site radiology business. You combine strong governance and operational discipline with an engaging, collaborative leadership style and a clear focus on patients, people and sustainable growth. You will bring:

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience within radiology, diagnostic imaging or a comparable healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, accreditation, radiation safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience leading financial performance, business growth and operational improvement across multiple sites.
  • Experience in national workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning and leadership development.
  • Strong relationships with radiologists, referrers and senior internal stakeholders, or the capability to build them.
  • Sound commercial judgement and the ability to translate strategy into measurable performance.
  • A collaborative, accountable and improvement-focused leadership approach.
  • Full working rights in Australia.

Why Join Cornerstone Health?

  • A senior national leadership role with accountability for a growing radiology division.
  • The opportunity to shape strategy, clinical quality, innovation and sustainable business growth.
