Corio Bay Innovators Inc trading as dal Cafe and Catering – Geelong VIC is seeking experienced and talented Cooks to join our team. You will play a vital role in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals for our cafe and catering customers. As an experienced Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of all menu items to our high standards. This position requires availability for weekdays only between 7.30am and 3.00pm.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing hands-on training, guidance and support to young adults with disability in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Ensuring all dishes are presented to a consistently high standard.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cook in a fast-paced cafe and/or catering environment.
- Strong working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Certification in Food Safety Handling is desirable.
- A genuine interest in supporting and developing the skills of young adults with disability.
