CoreStaff is recruiting a Supervisor for an established manufacturer in Adelaide. Leading approximately 10 to 12 employees per shift, you will have support from a 2IC and experienced senior operators while learning the equipment, processes and standards of the business.
Reporting directly to the Coordinator, you will lead approximately 10 to 12 employees per shift, supported by a 2IC and experienced senior operators. This is a hands on leadership position where your ability to guide people is just as important as meeting production targets.
About the role
This is a hands on leadership position where your ability to guide people is just as important as meeting production targets. You will be visible on the floor, approachable with your team and confident making decisions.
- Lead approximately 10 to 12 direct reports across your allocated shift.
- Work with your 2IC and senior operators to coordinate daily production.
- Maintain clear communication through shift handovers and regular floor walkthroughs.
- Monitor safety, product quality and output, taking action when issues arise.
- Coordinate with maintenance and other production teams when technical support is required.
About you
We are looking for someone who puts people first while keeping expectations clear. You can have an open conversation, receive feedback and ask questions when something needs attention.
- Previous experience leading a team in manufacturing or a similar operational environment.
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred, although leaders from other manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.
- An approachable leadership style with the confidence to address issues and follow through.
- A willingness to learn the machinery, production processes and the way the business operates.
- Full availability for the required weekly rotating roster.
Shift requirements
You must be available to rotate weekly across all three shifts: morning, afternoon and night.
Fixed shifts are not available. Exact roster and handover arrangements will be discussed during recruitment.
