Security Technician - Installs

My client is looking for a highly capable, well-rounded commercial security installer who takes pride in their workmanship and delivers consistently high-quality installations. Installation and commissioning are often separate specialisations, and this role is primarily for an experienced installer/all-rounder rather than a specialist commissioning technician, although the ability to undertake commissioning is also important.

Experience and capabilities required:

• Ideally 5+ years of experience installing commercial electronic security systems (exceptional candidates with slightly less experience may be considered)
• Strong installation experience across access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and associated equipment
• Experience installing Tecom Challenger and/or Inner Range Integriti systems
• CCTV installation experience, ideally with Avigilon, NX Witness or similar platforms
• Ability to undertake basic system commissioning, configuration and fault finding
• Excellent installation standards, including cable management, containment, equipment mounting and terminations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation documentation
• Capable of working independently and taking the lead on larger commercial installations when required
• Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude

Required licences and tickets:

• NSW Security Licence
• ACMA Cabling Registration
• Construction White Card
• Current Driver’s Licence
• EWP High Risk Work Licence (WP – boom-type EWP 11m or greater)

Preferred but not essential:

• Tecom Challenger, Inner Range Integriti and Gallagher certifications
• Fibre optic cabling and termination endorsements and experience
• Confined Space Entry certification
• Additional CCTV and access control manufacturer certifications

Please note this is a hands‑on commercial installer role, rather than a junior technician or commissioning specialist position.
