The Opportunity
Core Crew is looking for an experienced Load and Haul / Production Supervisor to support a large-scale open-cut mining operation in the Northern Territory. This is an opportunity to bring your operational leadership and production experience to a well-established mining operation.
It is a 3 - 6 months contract to start with, on a 7/7 day roster.
You’ll be responsible for supervising daily load and haul activities, leading operational crews, coordinating equipment and resources, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
What the Role Entails
Supervise daily load and haul and production activities to achieve operational targets.
Lead, coach and support operators to maintain high standards of safety and productivity.
Coordinate personnel, mobile equipment and resources across production activities.
Monitor production performance, equipment utilisation and operational delays.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and regular field interactions.
Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and operational standards.
Work closely with maintenance and other operational teams to support equipment availability.
Maintain accurate shift reports, production records and handover information.
What You Will Need
Previous experience in a Load and Haul Supervisor, Production Supervisor or similar role within mining.
Strong experience in open-cut mining operations.
Sound understanding of load and haul activities and mobile equipment.
Proven ability to lead and manage operational crews.
Strong commitment to safety and risk management.
Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to monitor production performance and drive operational outcomes.
Relevant mining qualifications and statutory competencies.
