The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Contract Administrator to join an established developer-builder delivering a premium 27-level residential apartment development on the Gold Coast.

Working alongside an experienced Project Manager, Site Manager Site Manager, Site Engineer and Supervisors you will play a key role in the commercial management of the project, ensuring subcontractor procurement, cost control and contractual obligations are effectively managed throughout construction.

This opportunity will appeal to a commercially astute CA with experience delivering multi-storey residential projects who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively with site teams and contributing to successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, negotiations and contract letting.
• Administer subcontract agreements, progress claims, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout construction.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to support programme and delivery objectives.
• Manage contractual correspondence, notices and project documentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to value engineering, cost efficiencies and positive commercial outcomes.

About You

We are seeking a capable Contract Administrator with a strong commercial foundation and experience working for a principal contractor or developer-builder.

Ideally, you will demonstrate:

• Proven experience as a Contract Administrator on multi-storey residential or comparable commercial construction projects.
• Experience with subcontractor procurement, contract administration, variations and cost reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• A practical understanding of construction methodology and project delivery.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong tenure and a genuine interest in developing a long-term career with the business.
• Previous experience delivering high-rise residential developments on the Gold Coast or within South East Queensland will be highly regarded.
