Are you a commercially minded Project Manager with strong construction knowledge and the ability to manage a high-volume portfolio of refurbishment and fit-out projects?

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of multiple concurrent projects, delivering quality outcomes, protecting margins and building long-term client relationships.

About the Role

You will oversee a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, fit-out, defit, minor capital works and multi-trade construction projects. Managing approximately 40-50 concurrent projects per month, with typical project values ranging from $20,000 to $65,000, you will be responsible for coordinating delivery from estimating and planning through to completion, invoicing and client hand-over.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume portfolio of refurbishment, fit-out, defit, minor capex and multi-trade projects.

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from scope review and estimating through to scheduling, delivery, completion and invoicing.

  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

  • Review estimates, labour allowances, material costs and subcontractor pricing to identify efficiencies and protect project margins.

  • Monitor budgets, variations, costs and project financial performance to achieve commercial targets.

  • Manage approximately 40-50 concurrent projects while maintaining consistent standards of delivery and communication.

  • Identify risks, delays and cost pressures early, implementing practical solutions to keep projects on track.

  • Ensure quality, safety, compliance and documentation requirements are met throughout delivery.

  • Build strong client relationships that encourage repeat business, client retention and long-term partnerships.

Skills & Experience

  • Solid construction background with trade experience or equivalent hands-on site exposure, such as carpentry, trade supervision or site management.

  • Strong technical knowledge of refurbishment and fit-out construction methods, including multi-trade coordination.

  • Proven experience managing high-volume project portfolios, ideally 30-50 concurrent jobs per month.

  • Commercial awareness, including margin protection, value engineering, cost control and project profitability.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, proactive updates to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver consistently under pressure.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and project management tools, with the discipline to maintain accurate, real-time project updates.

What's on Offer?

  • A varied portfolio of refurbishment, fit-out and multi-trade projects.

  • A fast-paced, commercially focused environment where accountability and initiative are valued.

  • The opportunity to influence project profitability, client retention and business growth.

  • The chance to build lasting client relationships and develop an established subcontractor network.
