Our core business includes the hire and sale of compaction and construction equipment with associated servicing and the supply of parts and transport services nationally.
We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team on the Sunshine Coast.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the business, ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed customer expectation.
The role
Undertake fault diagnosis and repair (mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and hydraulics) in a time sensitive customer facing, operational environment on customer sites and in Conplant's workshop.
Provide a range of technical advice to customers (face to face and by telephone) to assist in the effective minimisation of unscheduled call outs and where necessary co-ordinate planned and ad hoc external resource allocation to minimise downtime, maintain operational capability and contribute to the maintenance of Conplant's hire revenue stream.
You will bring
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and ideally a Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology.
- At least 5 years' experience working on heavy construction equipment, with ideally at least three years' experience in a Field Service role.
- Current driving licence and ideally a Medium Rigid licence is required. Medium Rigid licence must be held at the time of application.
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively whilst managing multiple priorities.
- Computer literacy is required for use of Microsoft Office and in-house software systems.
