Performance of Electrical and ITS works as a part of the Graham Farmer Freeway Maintenance.
We are hiring an Electrician to join our Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Projects Team. This permanent full-time role will support the performance work as a part of the Graham Farmer Freeway Maintenance. This role will be on a day/night rotating basis with night-loading available. Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
- Review and implement Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and risk assessments.
- Monitor work progress and report on productivity, delays, and issues to the Construction Manager.
- Ensure quality control through inspections, testing, and verification of completed works.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Liaise with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders on-site as required.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, and material usage.
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover of ITS and electrical systems.
- There will be a requirement to undertake Night Works as required, for periodic shutdown events every 2 months.
About You:
- Experience in electrical works, ITS or infrastructure projects.
- Installation and maintenance of electrical and ITS assets, including traffic signals, CCTV, VMS and communications systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of construction, safety and quality requirements.
- Electrical Trade Qualification, current Electrical Licence, White Card and Driver’s Licence.
- Traffic control and/or road authority tickets desirable.
- Strong technical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication, teamwork and time management abilities.
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- High Risk Licence, EWP, Traffic control and/or road authority tickets desirable.
