Connect People is seeking experienced Road Labourers for opportunities based in Launceston, TAS.
Our client delivers essential road and asphalt works across Tasmania and is looking for reliable, hands-on workers to join their team. This is a great opportunity for candidates with civil, asphalt or road experience who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a skilled crew.
What's on offer:
- $37.85 - $38.60/hr + super
- Depot start in Launceston, predominantly Mon-Fri dayshift
- Overtime and weekend work available depending on project requirements
- Opportunity to work on ongoing road projects
- Work with an experienced civil crew
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting with road and asphalt works
- Raking and shovelling asphalt
- Supporting spray seal and pavement works
- Carrying out general civil labouring duties
- Assisting operators and crew members on site
- Supporting site preparation, clean-up and general works
- Working safely around plant, equipment and live traffic environments
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions
What you need:
- Previous hands-on experience in civil construction, asphalt or road works
- Experience with asphalt works highly desirable
- Experience working around live traffic environments preferred
- Medium Rigid (MR) Licence highly desirable
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual labour
- Reliable, safety-focused and willing to be hands-on
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
