Like fixing machines? Even better if you enjoy solving problems that actually matter.
The best service engineers aren't just good with spanners.
They're calm under pressure, enjoy figuring out why something isn't working, and genuinely like helping customers get back up and running.
If that sounds like you, this could be a great opportunity.
We're working with a growing business that's built a strong reputation supplying world class food processing and packaging equipment across Australia and New Zealand. As demand continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced Technical Service Engineer to join the team.
This is a hands on, customer facing role where no two weeks look the same.
The role
You'll be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting a wide range of food processing and packaging equipment across Australia and New Zealand.
One week you might be commissioning a new production line. The next you'll be diagnosing faults, carrying out preventative maintenance or supporting customers with technical issues.
You'll work closely with project engineers, service coordinators, customers and international equipment suppliers to deliver first class technical support from installation through to ongoing service.
What you'll be doing
- Installing and commissioning new food processing and packaging machinery
- Fault finding across mechanical, electrical and software based equipment
- Carrying out preventative maintenance, servicing and machine refurbishments
- Providing technical support both remotely and on customer sites
- Training customers on equipment operation and maintenance
- Supporting equipment demonstrations and factory trials
- Working alongside project and sales teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
- Travelling across Australia and New Zealand, with occasional overseas training opportunities
What we're looking for
- 5+ years' experience in a field service or technical engineering role
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills
- Experience servicing industrial machinery within food processing, packaging or manufacturing environments
- Someone who enjoys dealing directly with customers and building long term relationships
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Trade qualification or engineering background will be highly regarded
Why consider this opportunity?
- Work with premium equipment from globally recognised manufacturers
- Join a business that's investing heavily in growth across Australia and New Zealand
- Overseas supplier training and ongoing technical development
- Exposure to the full equipment lifecycle, from installation through to long term customer support
- Flexible working arrangements and a supportive leadership team
- Genuine career progression as the business continues to expand
