Complete Staff Solutions are seeking a motivated Waste Management Officer to join a Resource Recovery team to support the local council. This hands‐on role involves delivering high‐quality waste management services to the community while maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional operation at the Waste Management Centre. You will work across a variety of operational tasks including weighbridge operations, drop‐off area management, and general site maintenance, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients
- Perform operational duties across the resource recovery and transfer station facilities
- Perform the role of drop‐off and transfer station area attendant as required
- Undertake weighbridge operations, including directing customers, receipting payments, and recording vehicle weights
- Complete labouring and grounds maintenance tasks (mowing, litter collection, weeding, and general upkeep)
- Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently, including forklift
- Maintain a strong focus on work health and safety standards
About you
- Experience in the waste management industry
- Class C driver's license
- Good communication skills and a strong customer service focus
- Willingness to work rostered shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Current immunisation (or willingness) for Hepatitis A and B
- Construction Induction Certificate - white card (desirable)
- Forklift tickets (desirable)
- Experience in weighbridge operations and cash handling (desirable)
