Complete Power Partners designs and manufactures stand-alone power systems and switchboards in Shepparton for remote sites. Our systems combine solar, lithium battery storage and generator integration, and are built on galvanized skids and steel cabinets in our own workshop. Every system is pre-wired and factory tested before dispatch, so getting the right parts to the bench at the right time matters. CPP is privately owned, and you'll work directly with the people designing and building the product.

We're looking for a reliable storeman to run our stores and keep the workshop supplied. The core role is part time and focused on receiving, storing, picking and dispatching stock. Example hours: 25-30 hours on storeman role, additional 8 hours available on mechanical builds. If you have a trade background (fitter, boilermaker, sheet metal, mechanical or similar), the role can be full time. The extra hours go into the mechanical side of our builds: cabinet fit-out, skid assembly and framework alongside our electrical team. Tell us in your application which option suits you.

Key responsibilities - stores:

  • Receive incoming goods, check them against purchase orders and report shortages or damage
  • Keep stock organized, labelled and recorded so parts can be found quickly
  • Pick and kit components for each build to the job's bill of materials
  • Run regular stock counts and flag low stock before it holds up a job
  • Prepare finished systems and parts for dispatch, including packing, strapping, paperwork and booking freight
  • Load and unload trucks safely, using a forklift (license required)
  • Keep the store, yard and workshop tidy and safe

Key responsibilities - workshop (full-time role):

  • Assemble and fit out steel cabinets and enclosures: mounting rails, brackets, doors, seals, vents and gland plates
  • Assemble galvanized skids and solar mounting frames
  • Measure, cut, drill and fabricate small components and brackets
  • Mount equipment such as inverters ready for the electricians to wire
  • Look after workshop tools and equipment

Skills and experience:

  • Essential:
  • Forklift license (LF)
  • Experience in a stores, warehouse or workshop environment
  • Good organization and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills for stock records, emails and freight bookings
  • A safe, practical approach to manual handling
  • Current driver's license
  • Desirable:
  • Trade qualification or solid hands-on experience in a mechanical or metal trade (required for the full-time role)
  • Confident using hand and power tools, and reading drawings
  • Welding experience
  • Experience with inventory or ERP software

What we offer:

  • Part-time or full-time hours to suit your skills
  • Hands-on work building renewable power systems that go to real remote sites
  • A small, practical team where your input is heard
  • Variety: no two builds are quite the same
  • Pay rate: to be confirmed - e.g. hourly rate, or rate range by experience
  • Hours and start date: immediate start, hours adjustable to suit your schedule
