We’ve been supporting communities across the Fleurieu since 1999, starting small and growing our services to match what people need. From Goolwa, Encounter Bay to Mount Compass and Clayton Bay, our local team provides disability support across the region.
We have multiple casual position's available rostered over mornings, afternoons and passive shifts over a 7-day roster, in our Goolwa and Victor Harbour teams.
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering people with disabilities to live their best lives by providing compassionate, personalised support that allows them to thrive and participate actively in their communities.
Livit Disability Support has charitable status for Fringe Benefits Tax purposes and is therefore able to offer attractive taxation benefits with up to $15,900 tax free per year and $2,650 tax free to use towards meals and entertainment per year through salary sacrifice!
Novated Leasing is available through salary packaging, for the financing and running cost of a new, ex-demo or used car!
What you'll be doing
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide support with household duties including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
- Advocate for clients' needs and preferences, ensuring their rights and choices are respected
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised support plans
What you'll need to have
- A Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability (or equivalent) students welcomed
- A current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Check & Working with Children Check
- Passion for health and safety demonstrated through maintaining First Aid, CPR & Safe Environments for Children & Young People
- Access to personal mobile phone and motor vehicle
- A positive attitude with flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster including passive overnight shifts
