Project Coordinator β Commercial Fitout & Refurbishment
Project Coordinator | Commercial Fitout & Refurbishment
Sydney, NSW | Full-Time | Design & Construct
We're working with an established Sydney-based Design & Construct business looking to appoint a Project Coordinator to join its growing project delivery team.
The business delivers a diverse range of projects across commercial interiors, workplace fitouts, medical facilities, industrial spaces and refurbishments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2β5 years' experience in construction who is looking to take on greater responsibility, gain exposure across the full project lifecycle and continue developing their career towards Project Management.
The Opportunity
Working closely with experienced Project Managers, you'll play an important role in the coordination and successful delivery of multiple projects.
The role offers a 50/50 split between office-based coordination and on-site involvement, giving you hands-on exposure to both the planning and delivery of construction projects.
You'll work closely with subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams, supporting everything from procurement and programming through to site coordination, quality control and project documentation.
With exposure to projects from early planning through to completion, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your construction experience and take on greater responsibility as you develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate trades, subcontractors and suppliers across multiple projects.
- Support day-to-day site activities, construction programmes and project scheduling.
- Assist with procurement, material ordering and site logistics.
- Monitor construction progress, workmanship and compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate RFIs, project documentation and communication between project stakeholders.
- Track project milestones, identify potential delays and assist with programme updates.
- Support quality assurance, site safety requirements and project reporting.
- Assist with cost tracking, variations and other commercial aspects of project delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of construction project delivery who is organised, proactive and comfortable balancing both office-based responsibilities and time on site.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- 2β5 years' experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator or similar construction delivery role.
- Experience across commercial fitout, refurbishment or general building projects.
- A good understanding of construction processes, site coordination and project documentation.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence communicating with subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- A qualification in Construction Management, Building or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- 50/50 office and site split, offering a balance of project coordination and hands-on construction experience.
- Work closely with experienced Project Managers across a diverse portfolio of projects.
- Join an established Design & Construct business with a growing pipeline of work.
- Develop your experience across procurement, programming, site coordination and commercial management.
- Genuine opportunities for professional development and future progression towards Project Management.

If you're currently working in construction and looking for an opportunity to take on greater responsibility across a varied portfolio of projects, we'd be keen to hear from you.
