This includes superannuation funds and managed funds across various asset classes including private and publicly listed equity, infrastructure, real estate amongst others.
The successful candidate will be expected to exercise a credit approval delegation over their own portfolio of clients, as well as in support of the wider Funds and NBFI risk team.

Products covered include subscription finance, asset based (NAV) finance and structured hedging and experience in these products and clients will be advantageous but is not essential.
A genuine desire to continually seek better and more efficient ways of doing things will also be critical in the success of this role.
In any given week you will:

- Monitor and analyse market developments and global industry trends, and provide guidance and advice to management on risk management matters related to funds financing.
- Own a portfolio of clients and be responsible for credit risk matters associated with those clients.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders including internal business units within IB&M and Risk.
- Collaborate with other risk management teams to ensure alignment of risk management strategies across the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement within the team across both individual activities and process/policy/procedure simplification projects.
- Be an integral part of a very collaborative team with a high value placed on team culture.
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Experience in credit risk management at a financial institution, with experience in credit decisioning and approval, and/or NBFI and Funds Finance exposure an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks.
- Good communication skills with the ability to act as the voice of risk with internal and external stakeholders.
- A curious mind and a desire to contribute towards continuous improvement.
- A willingness to use judgment to make and defend conscious and evidence based risk decisions.
- Proficient problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
