Looking for a People and Culture role where you can broaden your generalist experience, take ownership and help shape a growing P&C function? Command51 is a growing, fast paced national commercial cleaning organisation operating 24/7. We're looking for a People & Culture Advisor to join our team and support employees across Australia.
Working closely with our People & Culture Manager, you'll get exposure across the full employee lifecycle, from employee relations and injury management through to recruitment, onboarding, HR operations and P&C projects. This is a hands-on generalist role with a mix of advisory and administration, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to keep building their P&C capability.
Location: St Leonards, Sydney
Hours: Full-time, 38 hours Monday - Friday
What you'll be doing:
- Employee Relations: Be the first point of contact for day to day ER queries from managers and employees. Provide practical advice on legislation, Modern Awards, policies and processes.
- Injury Management: Manage work-related injuries and workers’ compensation matters from end to end across our national workforce. Coordinate return to work requirements and ongoing injury management, across work and non-work related injuries.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Own the recruitment and onboarding process from end to end. Support managers throughout recruitment, including supporting interviewing.
- P&C Operations & Offboarding: Manage the day to day P&C administration that supports the employee lifecycle. Maintain accurate employee records and processes in Employment Hero. Coordinate offboarding and ensure all required P&C processes are completed.
- Capability & Development: Support the development of our people leaders by identifying capability and training needs. Help develop, coordinate and deliver practical training and resources for managers.
- P&C Projects & Improvement: Support key people initiatives. Help improve and streamline P&C processes, systems and ways of working. Support the ongoing optimisation of Employment Hero. Work closely with the P&C Manager as we continue to build and strengthen the P&C function.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in a similar P&C or HR generalist role, with hands-on experience across employee relations and injury management.
- A solutions-focused mindset, ability to think critically and willingness to learn.
- Good working knowledge of the NES, Fair Work legislation and Modern Awards - experience with the Cleaning Services Award, ideally.
- Confident providing practical advice.
- Experience with an HRIS, ideally Employment Hero.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence working in an evolving P&C function where you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas and improve how we do things.
- You must have full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
Why you should join Command51:
- 2 days working from home each week, following an initial onboarding period at least one month working 4 days per week in the office.
