We need a Lifestyle Assistant with the warmth to make people feel welcome, the steady hands to get everyone there and home safely, and a love of a good chat.
This is not a clock in, clock out role. One day you'll serve lunch at an event, the next you'll drive a group to the coast. The good days are yours to make.
- What your days look like
- Events and outings. Set up venues, help with meals and keep activities on track
- Time with people. Sit, chat and support people one on one, so nobody feels left out
- Getting there safely. Drive our vehicles, help people in and out, and stick to the run sheet
- Care with dignity. Help with toileting and personal care at events, and with cleaning, meals or care at home, if required
- Noticing. Spot changes in someone's health, mood or mobility, and tell the team early
Skills get you shortlisted. Your style gets you hired.
- We care as much about how you care as what you know. You'll probably be the person who:
- Turns up on time, because a whole group is waiting
- Pitches in anywhere, from stacking chairs to washing up
- Stays calm and makes good calls when plans change
- Gets the laughs going at morning tea, and knows when someone needs a quiet word
- Asks about people's stories, and remembers them next time
- Finishes properly, from the last drop off to the last note
What you'll bring
- A minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Community Services
- A current driver licence and a reliable, registered and comprehensively insured car
- A satisfactory traffic history and First Aid & CPR certificate will be required
- Empathy for older people from all backgrounds, and clear professional boundaries
- What's in it for you
Days spent bringing people together, with a team that has your back.
You'll report to the Lifestyle Coordinator.
Fair warning: the bingo gets competitive.
Our team has never won, and we're at peace with that.
- Potential to transition into a permanent role
- Matched voluntary super contributions up to 1%
- Employee Assistance Program.
No smoke. No mirrors. Just good days out and the person ready to make each one count.
Now you see the outing.
Now you see the connection.
Now you see yourself at the heart of it.
Comlink Australia welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, ages, abilities and identities. We know that different minds make better decisions.
