In this role you will deliver sensitive and fragile freight using tail-lift pantech trucks to sites across Sydney and to some of the largest events in Australia. This is not a routine point-to-point courier run – every day and every delivery is different.
Key responsibilities
- Safely load, transport and unload sensitive and fragile freight using tail-lift pantech trucks
- Deliver to a wide variety of customer sites across Sydney and occasional event locations around Australia
- Follow delivery schedules, paperwork and basic site procedures
- Work both independently and as part of a small, supportive team
- Represent the business professionally with customers, suppliers and site staff
About you
- A minimum of 3 years' driving experience
- Proven experience with sensitive, fragile or high-value freight (strongly preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Sydney roads and traffic conditions
- A current NSW driver licence appropriate for operating pantech trucks
- The ability to work unsupervised, use good judgement and solve problems on the road
- A strong team mindset and clear communication skills
- A professional, friendly manner with customers and site personnel
- Willingness to work overtime on evenings and weekends when required
- Physically capable of handling deliveries that may involve manoeuvring large, bulky items with appropriate equipment and safe manual-handling practices
- We prefer fragile freight experience with fridges, removals, teller machines or photocopiers as last jobs or jobs
