Plumbing Supervisor
Colab Resources is seeking an experienced Plumbing Supervisor to lead a small team and oversee plumbing works across whole-house renovations, smaller renovation projects and general plumbing jobs.
Reporting directly to the managing director, you’ll supervise two tradespersons and four apprentices, combining practical plumbing knowledge with site inspections, quoting and client relationship management.
The role

  • Site inspections: Assess plumbing requirements for whole-house and smaller renovations, identifying the scope of work, site conditions and project requirements.
  • Quoting: Prepare accurate quotes for renovation projects and smaller plumbing jobs, and work requiring technical assessment beyond the administration team’s scope.
  • Team supervision: Coordinate and support tradespersons and apprentices, providing clear direction and overseeing workmanship, safety and job completion.
  • Relationship management: Maintain and strengthen established relationships with renovation partners, clients and key contacts, supporting repeat work and ongoing business opportunities.
  • Pricing and invoicing support: Determine appropriate pricing for completed work that has not been quoted, ensuring labour, materials and additional works are accurately captured for invoicing.
  • Communication: Keep the director, administration team and clients informed of job progress, requirements and variations.

  • Confidence inspecting sites, scoping work and preparing quotes.
  • A strong understanding of labour, material costs and job pricing.
  • Clear communication skills and a professional approach to clients.
  • The ability to organise workloads and guide apprentices.
  • A current driver’s licence.
