Building Approvals Administrator (Full Time)
We are seeking a positive, friendly and self-motivated person to work closely with and support our building certifiers in a range of administrative responsibilities to service our clients.
The role is full time (4 or 5 days), but an opportunity may be available for a part-time position for an experienced candidate.
The position is highly valued within our team, and is critical in facilitating the effective operation of our business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated person to enjoy a multi-faceted role, utilising their prior administrative and people skills in a small and hard working team.
Flexible start and finish times during business hours available to accommodate family commitments.
Key responsibilities
Project co-ordination, providing and maintaining workflow of building applications in the office
Assisting in preparing building approval documentation and building inspection records
Creating and maintaining accurate project records and files, including on the company's database
Updating data and lodging documentation on the NSW Planning Portal
Lodging documentation to local councils
Using and updating electronic templates and forms
Liaising with clients, Councils and other external stakeholders
Assisting with general office management
About you
Must be comfortable and content in working in a small company
Ability to work closely, effectively and collaboratively with our small team
An effective communicator is essential
High attention to accurate detail is critical
The role will require at times for you to work autonomously, and therefore this role will suit a person who is self-motivated, resourceful and proactive
Proficient in computer use and have knowledge in or ability to learn about various software and client document transfer programs
Experience or knowledge of the building approval process and in the use of the NSW Planning Portal would be advantageous
