Help us attract the people who will shape the future of CNS. CNS is growing rapidly, both in Australia and internationally, and we believe the quality of the people we attract will ultimately determine how successful we become. We're looking for an exceptional technology recruiter or headhunter who shares that belief. Someone who knows the industry, understands where the best people are working and genuinely enjoys building relationships with talented individuals, often long before they're considering their next move.

You'll work directly with our CEO and leadership team, taking responsibility for attracting exceptional talent across Australia, the UK and the US. We're prepared to invest in finding great people, and you'll have the autonomy, resources and leadership support to make it happen. You'll take ownership of recruitment from start to finish, from attracting and assessing applicants to proactively seeking out exceptional people who may not be looking for their next opportunity. We want someone who knows how to find great talent, build genuine relationships and bring the right people into CNS.

A little about CNS: We're a Sydney-based technology company with more than 80 people across Australia, the UK and the US, specialising in Managed Services, Cloud, Networks and Cyber Security. We've been around since 1988, but we're certainly not stuck in the past. We're a Microsoft Solutions Partner, ISO 27001 certified and continuing to expand our capabilities and international presence. We're technically strong, ambitious and genuinely proud of what we do. But we're also a down-to-earth bunch. We value straightforward conversations, people who take ownership and colleagues who are great at what they do without needing to make a big deal about it. We work hard, back each other and enjoy working together. There are high expectations, but not much room for egos.

The opportunity: This is a hands-on recruitment role with genuine ownership and influence. You'll be CNS's go-to person for recruitment, working alongside our department managers and leadership team to ensure we have the people and skills needed to support our growth. You’ll manage current vacancies while looking ahead, anticipating future requirements and developing relationships with talented people we may want to bring into CNS down the track. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape our recruitment approach, strengthen our reputation as an employer and improve the systems and processes that support great recruitment. We want you to bring your experience, ideas and judgement to the role. We're interested in what works, not unnecessary processes or doing things a certain way simply because that's how they've always been done.

What you'll be doing:

  • Resource planning and recruitment forecasting
  • Partner with department managers to forecast staffing needs, anticipate vacancies and plan recruitment around business growth and project pipelines.
  • Maintain a forward-looking recruitment plan, including hiring priorities, timelines and approved budgets.
  • Advise managers on talent availability, remuneration expectations and recruitment lead times.
  • Own the recruitment process from role briefing through to signed contract and handover to induction.
  • Write compelling advertisements, source and screen candidates, conduct initial interviews and present quality shortlists to hiring managers.
  • Coordinate interviews, reference checks, offers and contract negotiations within approved terms.
  • Manage employment contracts, new-starter documentation and a seamless handover to the induction team.
  • Keep recruitment moving, with clear communication and a great candidate experience throughout.

Headhunting and building relationships:

  • Map competitors, technology partners and industry networks to identify exceptional technical, commercial and leadership talent.
  • Proactively approach and engage talented people, including those not actively looking for a new role.
  • Build lasting relationships through regular contact, informal coffees and introductions to CNS leaders, creating a strong pipeline of future candidates.

Recruiting internationally:

  • Lead recruitment across Australia, the UK, the US and future markets.
  • Determine the best recruitment approach for each market, using direct sourcing, local platforms or specialist agencies where appropriate.
  • Manage international recruitment partners while maintaining accountability for candidate quality and outcomes.

Making recruitment better:

  • Strengthen CNS's employer brand and communicate why great people should want to work here.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment systems, candidate databases and talent pipelines.
  • Provide clear reporting on vacancies, recruitment forecasts, hiring progress and performance.
  • Improve recruitment efficiency and reduce reliance on external agencies through stronger direct recruitment capability.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong recruitment, executive search or headhunting experience within IT, Managed Services, Cloud, Cyber Security or Technology Services.
  • A good understanding of the technology industry, its major employers, competitors, vendors and partners.
  • An established industry network and the confidence to approach talented people who aren't actively looking for a new role.
  • Experience recruiting technical specialists, commercial professionals and senior leaders.
  • Strong screening and interviewing skills, with the judgement to recognise genuinely exceptional candidates.
  • Experience partnering with department managers to forecast and deliver recruitment requirements.
  • The ability to manage multiple vacancies, candidates and priorities without losing momentum.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, recruitment databases and applicant tracking systems.
  • A practical, commercially minded approach and a genuine commitment to delivering results.
  • International recruitment experience and employer-brand development would be highly regarded.

But beyond experience, we're interested in the person. Someone who's curious, resourceful and persistent. Someone who enjoys meeting people, builds trust easily and follows through on what they say they'll do. You'll be comfortable working independently, taking ownership and challenging the status-quo when there's a better way to get things done. And importantly, you'll enjoy being part of a team. At CNS, we're not particularly interested in egos or corporate politics. We value people who are good at what they do, straightforward to deal with and willing to help others succeed.

What you'll get:

  • Genuine autonomy: Bring your experience and ideas to the role and have the freedom to make things happen.
  • Direct leadership access: Work closely with our CEO and executive leadership team.
  • International exposure: Recruit across Australia, the UK and the US as CNS continues to grow.
  • Investment and support: Access to the tools, technology and resources needed to recruit effectively.
  • Career opportunity: Grow professionally and help shape recruitment at CNS.
  • Great people: Join a capable, collaborative and down-to-earth team who genuinely enjoy working together.

You'll also receive an annual wellbeing allowance, paid professional development and certifications, recognition and rewards, salary sacrifice, and a modern Sydney office. We're an office-first business because we believe there's real value in working together. You'll initially work from the office full-time while getting to know the business, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week once settled.

Sound like your kind of opportunity? If you're a great technology recruiter who loves finding exceptional people, enjoys building relationships and wants to make a genuine difference to the success of a growing business, we'd love to meet you. Come and help us bring more great people into CNS.
