The Financial Coordinator supports the CEO and leadership team by maintaining accurate day-to-day financial processes, producing reliable operational reporting and identifying opportunities to improve controls, margins and labour performance.
The role is hands-on and requires strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and confident use of Bepoz and related systems.
Key responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, manage payment runs and maintain complete supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate creditor records, follow up discrepancies and support supplier account queries in a timely manner.
- Administer cash collection processes, including daily banking, cash-up documentation and secure reconciliation of cash and electronic takings.
- Maintain clear separation of duties, approvals and audit trails in accordance with Club delegations and internal controls.
- Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time, including validation of timesheets, leave, allowances and approved adjustments.
- Maintain payroll records and support compliance with applicable employment conditions, tax, superannuation and record-keeping requirements.
- Complete wage control analysis by department and cost centre, identifying material trends, exceptions and opportunities for action.
- Provide timely payroll and labour-cost information to the CEO and department managers to support roster and staffing decisions.
- Maintain pricing data and support the timely implementation of approved pricing changes across POS and relevant operating systems.
- Assist with menu, beverage, retail and other product margin analysis, including cost price changes, gross profit performance and pricing recommendations.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations and operational financial administration.
- Strong Excel, MYOB and data-analysis capability, with the ability to turn operational data into clear management insights.
- Experience using point-of-sale, payroll and accounting systems; Bepoz experience is highly desirable.
- Sound understanding of pricing, gross margin, wage control and cash-handling processes.
- High level of accuracy, discretion and integrity when handling financial and employee information.
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines, investigate issues methodically and communicate findings clearly.
- Experience in hospitality, gaming, retail, leisure or a multi-department venue environment is desirable.
