In collaboration with the Queensland State Government, we are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to deliver high-quality visual communications across print, digital, video and online channels.

This role supports stakeholder and community engagement initiatives by transforming complex information into clear, engaging and accessible content. Working within a collaborative communications environment, you will provide expert design advice, manage multiple projects and help maintain consistent visual standards across a broad range of communication activities.

What you'll be doing

• Develop creative design solutions that support strategic communication and engagement objectives
• Translate complex information into clear, compelling visual content
• Provide expert advice on branding, design standards and digital communications
• Design and produce publications, brochures, newsletters, presentations and display materials
• Create social media assets, digital advertising and video content
• Ensure all communication materials align with established brand guidelines
• Manage multiple priorities using project management and workflow systems
• Coordinate external suppliers including printers, photographers, videographers and illustrators
• Apply accessibility principles and quality standards across all deliverables
• Contribute to continuous improvement of visual communication processes and services
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and design professionals to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing

What you need to bring

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
• Strong skills across graphic design, digital communications and visual storytelling
• Experience producing creative work within large corporate or government environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working within established branding and style guide frameworks
• Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Experience creating accessible PDFs and Microsoft Word documents
• Excellent attention to detail and time management capabilities
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with stakeholders and team members

Bonus points for

• Five or more years' experience in graphic design, visual communication or creative design
• Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Knowledge of Queensland Government processes and policies
• Experience delivering design outcomes across print, digital and video channels simultaneously
